What is holding you back from giving God your all

 I was sitting here with a conviction in my heart thinking about what was holding me back from giving God my all then I thought there might a be a few others out there that were wondering the same thing.  So I thought I would share a few things about how I felt about this subject.

I think about daily things that keep us from following and giving God our all.  For some and some does include me in some of these things such as...

*School, work, friends, family, friends, fear, not sure what to believe, not knowing if it is real, to busy, not interested.  Those are just a few I can think of right now.

I know sometimes I get caught up in the things of this world and that is not what God wants.  God wants us to serve him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.  Sometimes I know it is hard but if we trust him he will help us with every area that we struggle with.  When we hold out and hold back from God it not only hurts us but hurts him.  He gave up everything for us and he didn't hold anything back.  He had all the things we have struggled with to I am sure.  He worked, he had friends he had family.  But yet he still gave up his life for us and died on the cross so we could live life forever if we would give him our hearts and live for him.  Jesus wants more than anything for us to give up everything and take up our cross and follow him at any cost.  Yes it may cost us our friends, family, work everything but when we do that it is not in vein because our great reward is in heaven spending eternity with the man who gave up everything for us.  So I think that it is not to small of sacrifice that we give God our all. 

I think God deserves to have that from us at the very least.  We need not to let things get in our way and put our full faith and trust in him that he will not let us down nor will he leave us or forskake us.  We need not to be ashamed of the truth either, we need to be telling people the truth and not be afraid of rejection because in life we will be rejected but then so was Jesus but it never stopped him from giving his all for us.  We need to be telling others what Jesus has done in our life and not be ashamed of it.  It is awesome what he has done and what he continues to do for us.  He says he will give us the desires of our heart if we are faithful.  I believe that with my whole heart.  God will never give us more than we can handle and we need to trust and believe that that is true.

He is always on our side and wants us to reach out to him.  When we do that things will happen that we least exspect and the rewards are even greater.  So next time you think about holding back from God remember he never held anything back from us.  He loves us so much.
